On September 16, 2015, our staff and young people joined more than 500 New Balance associates to celebrate the grand opening of their new world headquarters building in Brighton. To commemorate the opening, New Balance Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President Anne Davis announced a milestone $3 million grant to West End House.
New Balance Foundation has been a longtime supporter of West End House, previously donating more than $1.6 million to programs at the club. In addition to granting funds, New Balance associates regularly volunteer at the West End House, leading activities that inspire a lifetime of fitness, healthy eating and overall success, including sports, meal preparation, homework help and more. The grant is an effort to ensure New Balance’s success is shared with important local community partners.
We are excited to continue this major partnership with such an outstanding community partner. As part of the festivities at New Balance, our youth led three inspiring musical performances, capped off by the Star Spangled Banner and a raising of the flags at their headquarters.
