Community Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

West End House welcomed over 150 community members, public figures, donors, sponsors, families, friends, alumni and youth on Friday, August 24th for a ceremonial red ribbon cutting signifying the official opening of our shiny, new Clubhouse. The afternoon began with refreshments provided by Flatbread Company and personalized staff led, tours of our newly renovated and updated facility. The dynamic tours included all of our new spaces, such as our Music Clubhouse, Arts Wing, College and Career Center, and Teen Lounge.

Guests gathered in West End House’s newly constructed New Balance Foundation Pavilion for a speaking and performance portion, which included remarks from West End House’s Vice President of the Board and Chair of the Building Committee, Joe Mulligan III; Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh; Massachusetts State Representative Kevin Honan; West End House CEO, Andrea Howard; and West End House youth Aryanna Sierra. Our young artists then debuted a special dance performance to commemorate the celebration. The performance concluded with remarks from Andrew Musto, West End House Board President, before Mayor Walsh–along with help from some of our youth–cut the symbolic ribbon, officially opening the space.

Thank you to Mayor Martin J. Walsh and our amazing West End House community for joining us as we celebrated the new West End House at Ringer Park!
