Live Long and Prosper

The West End House expresses its deepest condolences to family, friends, colleagues and fans of Leonard Nimoy, one our most famous “West Enders.” We are proud to have played an instrumental role in his life during his formative years, including providing a scholarship to an acting program at Boston College. We are even prouder that he chose to return to the West End House and give back so that future generations could benefit from our programs.

Over the years, he sponsored a summer arts program for our young people to inspire a new generation of performers. He chaired our Honorary Centennial Committee and helped us celebrate in person at our 100th anniversary event. Last fall, he reached out again with a contribution to honor the powerful but too short legacy of our alumna Dawnn Jaffier.

Leonard Nimoy will always hold a special place in our hearts at the West End House. We are honored that he is part of our history. His iconic phrase sums up the wish that we work to fulfill for all of our young people:

“Live Long and Prosper”

Thank you Mr. Nimoy.
