Carleen Colin was raised in Brockton, MA, where she was an active member in her church youth group. She graduated from Brockton High and received her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Black Studies from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. After Umass, Carleen joined the AmeriCorps Massachusetts Promise Fellowship where she spent two years providing youth with safe spaces. During her second year of service, Carleen joined West End House, where she enjoys bringing her own flame to light up lives. She speaks fluent Haitian Creole and conversational French.
