On Thursday, October 23, we held our first annual House Party, an alumni reunion and a celebration of the amazing people who’ve come through our doors over the years. We convened at Craft Food Halls in Studio Hotel Allston, and enjoyed a wonderful evening of food, drinks, and dancing with nearly 80 alumni.
House Party also hosted the presentation of the inaugural J. Nute Alumni Achievement Award. This award honors the amazing work of Jenny Nute, Chief Impact Officer at West End House, who left the organization to pursue other opportunities in 2025, after 25 years of service. In her time at West End House, Jenny became a mentor and a friend to countless young people, and to many, was the face of programs at West End House. Jenny always maintains that her community and people are the priority, and the impact she’s had on so many young people is impossible to measure. The J. Nute Alumni Achievement Award celebrates her legacy at West End House, and recognizes a West End House alumni who, similarly, prioritizes the power of community and dedicates significant time and energy toward uplifting and empowering their community through the means available to them.
We were proud to present the J. Nute Alumni Achievement Award to alumnus Jordan Redley! Jordan is the Pre-Teen Program Manager at the Jordan Boys & Girls Club in Chelsea, MA, and has spent his career empowering youth. Starting as a peer leader at West End House, and then at the Chelsea Boys & Girls club where he was promoted to his current role, Jordan has always strived not only to support youth in his community, but to build his skillset to better serve those youth and the communities that they are part of.
After a short & sweet award ceremony, we resumed the festivities and danced the rest of the night away with a DJ set from the one and only KNSZWRTH.
