October is College Month, and West End House is celebrating by engaging alumni and members in activities that generate discussion of college, challenges, and hopes for their future.

Each week, we are asking groups within our community share their thoughts on college-focused topics. We will randomly select one of these responses to feature on our website and social media, and the author will receive a gift card to thank them for sharing.

Week 1:

What has been your biggest challenge in college and how are you working to overcome it?

My biggest challenge is balancing school, work, and an internship, while making sure I maintain very high academic standards. It is very emotionally draining, but I have become a master of my time by scheduling and taking advantage of every minute I have.
