All week long our teens participated in College and Career Week activities to expose them to potential college and career opportunities. Tuesday, Gary Shaw of Starlite Building Services and Phoebe Cusack, Union Carpenter, visited the West End House and spoke with our teens concerning potential careers in carpentry. Wednesday, our teens attended a workshop at Microsoft titled Make Hustle Happen. Our youth had the chance to develop a pitch for a business or cause they are passionate about. Thursday and Friday our teens toured local universities, Bridgewater State University and the University of Massachusetts Boston. We can hardly wait to see how these experiences shape our teens and their future college and career choices.
