On August 14, we celebrated the 12th annual Biggest Fun Ever, welcoming the Allston/Brighton community to the club for family fun, games, and food. This event is near and dear to our hearts as it honors the legacy of Dawnn Jaffier, who was a lifelong member of the West End House and served as a role model and guiding force for young people at West End House and the community at large.
This year, we were grateful to have sunny skies while we enjoyed outdoor activities, including caricatures, henna, bracelet making, face painting, a bouncy house, and more! The evening began at 5:30pm behind the New Balance Foundation Pavilion, where attendees could take a peek at our brand-new mural completed by members in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts. Foods like hot dogs, potato salad, fresh fruit, and a variety of sweets were enjoyed as DJ KNSZWRTH, played music throughout the night. The alumni basketball game was a memorable highlight, featuring three-point shoot out and a friendly game between two teams of alumni to close out the event. Seeing alumni from so many different classes return to West End House for ‘Biggest Fun Ever’ was a powerful testament to the lasting community impact Dawnn had throughout her life.
