Whitney Edwards
Director of Sports and Fitness
Whitney Edwards has worked in the sports industry as a women’s college basketball coach for 14 seasons. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of New Hampshire where she earned a Bachelor’s in Sociology with a minor in Deaf Studies. Edwards additionally holds a Master’s degree in Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh, where she graduated in 2015, as well as a Leadership degree with a concentration in Sport and Social Change from Northeastern University in 2020.
As a former student-athlete and co-captain at the University of New Hampshire, Whitney understands the rigors of hard work and leadership. She began her coaching career as an assistant in 2010 at SUNY Plattsburgh and has since had stops at Stonehill College (2013-2015), The University of New Hampshire (2015-2017), and Northeastern University (2017-2020; 2023-2024). In June of 2020, Edwards also achieved a career long goal by being named to her first head coaching position at The College of Saint Rose.
Whether she’s working with players on or off court, Whitney loves to develop relationships, mentor and connect with her community. She is an avid WNBA and women’s sports fan and spends her time off in nature, hiking or camping and spending time at home with her wife and dog, Basqui.
