West End House celebrated the end of another successful school year for our amazing young people with a barbecue style family dinner. Vice President of Program Services, Mark DaCruz and Recreational and Aquatics Coordinator, Kevin Lopez hosted our awards ceremony honoring our outstanding young people and volunteers in our New Balance Foundation Pavilion. Awards were given to recognize the achievements of our volunteers and youth members throughout the school year. Awards included Outstanding Attendance, Peer Leadership Award, and Education Center Expert. Sprinkled throughout the evening were performances by our talented Music Clubhouse members, including a dance and beat making video, and dances by our Individuals Dance Crew, Shanelle and Gaby and Aryanna and Deo. Closing performances included the Jr. Band performing Post Malone and Swae Lee’s “Sunflower,” the Sr. Band performing Paramore’s “Ain’t it FUN,” as well as recent high school graduate Etinnah and this summer’s Music Clubhouse intern Alex, performing “Shallow” by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. We ended the night with a fabulous rendition of “Baby Shark” by the Sr. and Jr. Band.
