Why should I vote?

When you vote, you elect the people who decide important issues for your community, such as Public transportation, minimum wage, school funding, healthcare and social services

  • Our elected officials decide how your tax dollars will be spent. By voting, you get to choose how your money is spent in your community.
  • If you don’t vote, someone else will make these decisions for you. Your power is in your vote.
  • Voting is a powerful way to speak for your community. When you vote, you also support those in our community who are too young to vote or who do not meet the requirements for voting in the U.S.
