Sun Life Sends Care Packages

Thanks to a team of Sun Life Financial volunteers, West End House is providing our college freshmen with care packages for the start of the semester. Five volunteers from Sun Life came to the Club on Wednesday, August 23rd to assemble 75 care packages, which include a variety of school supplies and an encouraging note from the West End House family, to help first-year students kick off the semester on a positive note.

This fall marks the start of the fourth year of West End House’s established College Success Program under the citywide Success Boston initiative. Our College Coaches work with over 200 alumni to provide one-on-one and small group coaching to ensure students are progressing, with the ultimate goal of college completion.

“We are grateful to Sun Life for these care packages because we directly see the positive impact that they have,” says West End House College Success Coach Morgan Bondy. “Having the necessary supplies gives students confidence and helps set them up for a successful term.”

Thank you to Sun Life and the volunteers who helped make these care packages possible.
