Meet Jonathan

This holiday season, we would like to introduce you to some of the youth of West End House. Each day this week, we will showcase one of our young people and their aspirations for 2017.

img_2379“I am a bass and guitar player in West End House’s senior band, The West. This year The West had the opportunity to perform at the Boys & Girls Club National Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the Northeast Regional Conference in Manchester, New Hampshire. I’m looking forward to building on this experience and exploring new opportunities for the band in 2017. Right now The West is producing a cover of Paramore’s song “Still Into You,” and we hope to submit our recording to conferences around the country.

I’m also looking forward to West End House’s Annual Celebration on April 29th, because it’s a great opportunity for our band to perform in front of an audience and to give back to the West End House community.”

Jonathan is one of the 400 youth who participate in performing arts programs at West End House weekly. We are proud to support youth as they gain mastery-level skills in the arts.

P.S. Tomorrow, you’ll meet Emerson, a 4th grader who is actively engaged in music and media arts at West End House.
