On Friday, July 22nd, a group of rising high school seniors advanced toward their dream of earning a college degree with their first official tour of UMass Dartmouth. Seventeen-year-old Vanessa, who wants to pursue corporate law, raved about the visit: “UMass Dartmouth is a small university, they have a great law program, it’s affordable and it’s only an hour and a half away from home. The student body is quite diverse and they have different clubs you can participate in during your free time.”
Vanessa and the seven other tour-takers hope to join the ranks of recently graduated West End House club members who will attend a college or university in the fall. These colleges include:

- Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology
- Boston University
- St. Michael’s College
- University of New Hampshire
- Lesley University

- Salem State University
- Bridgewater State University
- Fisher College
