High School Graduates Inducted into West End House Alumni Family

On Monday, June 19th, 100 young people, alumni, family members, and staff gathered for the third annual West End House Alumni Induction Ceremony to celebrate our high school graduates becoming official members of the alumni family.

The evening began with West End House-made passed hors d’oeuvres including bacon-wrapped blue cheese-stuffed dates, sunbutter sesame noodles with vegetables, and grilled cheese with pimento and spinach. Guests enjoyed the treats and took pictures with friends and family in our photo booth before sitting down for a speaking program, which featured West End House alumna and rising second-year student at University of New Hampshire Emily Quinones, our Youth of the Year Cole Marden, Board President Andrew Musto, and CEO Andrea Howard.

“College is a rollercoaster of ups and downs for me. However all of the support I got from my mom, my step dad, and my family here at the West End House allowed me to overcome those bumps and successfully complete my first year,” said Emily Quinones as she addressed the new class of West End House alumni. “Work your hardest and the results will pay off. I promise.”

The evening also celebrated recent college graduates Elin Dahal, Manuela Lopez-Florez, and Shantal Solomon, who were back at West End House to support the youngest members of the alumni family.
