Cummings Foundation Awards West End House as a “$100K for 100” Recipient

West End House is excited to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of a $100,000 through the Cummings Foundation “$100k for 100” program. West End House was chosen from nearly 600 applicants as part of a very competitive review process.

West End House will leverage the $100K for 100 funding to expand its College Success program, which will support 300 students to persist through college with on-campus and remote support, a significant expansion from its initial cohort of 45 students when the program launched in 2015. Cummings Foundation will also support the West End House internship program, which places college students with meaningful, career-aligned internships, and which provides grants for those who secure unpaid or minimally paid internships. West End House is one of the only youth development agencies in the region that provides such grants for its young people.

“We are indebted to organizations like West End House that have a meaningful positive impact on the local communities where our colleagues and clients live and work,” said Joel Swets, Cummings Foundation’s Executive Director. “We are delighted to invest in their important programs and services.”
