On August 15, we celebrated the 11th annual Biggest Fun Ever, a celebration of community in memory of the wonderful Dawnn Jaffier. Dawnn was a community leader and a lifelong member of West End House Family; she grew up here as a member and later worked here. Unfortunately lost her life too soon, as an innocent bystander in an incident of gun violence. Dawnn stood for joy, and she brought it to those around her every day- at Biggest Fun Ever we bring joy to the community, honoring her legacy.
We gathered with hundreds of community members behind the New Balance Foundation Pavilion, enjoying food, fun & games, and dancing under a beautiful evening sun. Folks enjoyed a meal made by our incredible kitchen team, music from DJ KNSZWRTH, and an array of outdoor activities, including caricatures, henna, face painting, a bouncy house, and more!
We moved inside for an alumni basketball game and 3-point shootout. Two teams of alumni dressed in purple and orange took to the floor for a high-energy game, with spectators packing the floor and cheering them on!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful night and a fun celebration of our amazing community!
