Corporate Volunteer DaysThe West End House welcomes corporate groups of all sizes to help lead daily programs at the West End House. One-time opportunities or monthly visits are a great way to bring your team together and learn more about the issues facing Boston young people. Many groups choose to help out in the Kids Cafe, enjoy a Field Day or complete a Mini Makeover at the West End House. Kids Cafe DayOur Kids Cafe program does way more than teach our members about health and nutrition. We serve over 250 hot, balanced meals each day, filled with whole grains, fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits. Your team will help prepare and serve dinner to each of our young people. This is a wonderful, interactive, and social part of the day. Your team will get a chance to not only provide a delicious meal for our members, but also enjoy sitting and eating with them at dinner.
Field DayFrom education to athletics, team up with our members for education challenges such as math games, spelling competitions and more. In the gym, your team members will pair up with ours to compete in relay races, wall climb challenges and team sport games like basketball, floor hockey, volleyball and more!
Mini MakeoversWork with West End House staff and youth to spruce up spaces inside and out. Past projects have created a pergola, beautified the landscape, planted trees, and organized storage facilities. These hands-on activities lend some much-needed manpower to facility needs! |
